Overview
Santa Fe College participates in the National Assessment of Collegiate Campus Climates (NACCC) survey.
The purpose of SF’s participation is to get information from students about their experiences with race, not only at the college, but also in the community and throughout their lives.
SF strives to be an open, welcoming community, and the NACCC survey will be able to offer the college insight as to how students feel when they come to the college, and what events have influenced their world view.
The data, collected through an anonymous 15 minute survey sent out through email, helps guide the college moving forward in order to increase access, inclusion and opportunity for all students.
Santa Fe College launched the NACCC in February of 2019.
2019 Results can be viewed in this report.
Priority Recommendations from the A&I Advisory Committee based on 2019 report:
- Provide professional development for faculty and staff that emphasize racial learning and racial literacy and productive conversations about race and racial inequality.
- Assess instructional and other student facing materials to determine the extent to which they are inclusive of diverse voices and experiences and improve them according to assessment results.
- Design and deliver structured opportunities, both in and outside of the classroom, for students to learn about their own and other racial groups.
