Welcome to the Testing Center
The SF Testing Center provides a quiet, secure, and comfortable environment for students to complete course exams or study for the next big test.
A government-issued or SF photo ID is required for all exams. In no case will exams be allowed without some acceptable form of photo ID. An SF ID is also required for general use of the computers.
Online Course Testing
The Testing Center has 35 computer stations to be used only by “walk-in” students in online classes who must take proctored exams. Students may come in at any time during the scheduled testing window. If all 35 “online” computer stations are being used when a student arrives, the student will have to wait until one of the dedicated online computers is available. No appointments can be made; these seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis only.If it is difficult for you to come to the NW campus, you may ask your instructor about taking proctored exams using ProctorU. However, this option will incur additional costs. You must obtain permission from your Instructor to use this option. You will still need to show your picture ID.
This information sheet provides more information about how online testing works and how to create an account and schedule an exam on ProctorU’s website. Here are a few things you must do before your exam. The costs are:
- Up to one hour = $13.50
- From one to two hours = $20.00
- Over two hours = $28.75.
The Testing Center is only for course exams. The PERT, Kaplan, CLEP, Accuplacer, TABE, FBAT, VUE, Critical Thinking, College Level Math Test Out, and any other placement exams can be taken at the Placement and Assessment Center in Building G, Room 25.
