Clock Tower Dedication & New Time Capsule Placement

Dr. Sasser invites all students and full-time, part-time, work-study, and Tempforce employees to a brief Santa Fe Clock Tower Dedication and new Time Capsule placement ceremony Tuesday, January 17 at 4 pm on the west side of the Santa Fe Clock Tower. We will dedicate the Clock Tower and place the time capsule that will be opened in 2041.

Santa Fe College Police Department Needs Your Help

SFPD is investigating a disturbance which occurred Tuesday between about 5:15-6:15pm by P Building on the NW campus. One student sustained minor injuries. If you saw or potentially know anything about this incident, please call SFPD at 395.5519.

Lock It or Lose It

Reminder: Always lock your car & take valuables such as cell phones, wallets, & purses with you. Items that cannot be removed such as electronics should at least be hidden out of view. Paying attention to these reminders could possibly keep you from becoming a victim to an otherwise preventable crime.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) 2017 HS-STEM Summer Internships

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate Office of University Programs sponsors a 10-week summer internship program for students majoring in homeland security related science, technology, engineering and mathematics (HS-STEM) disciplines. The program provides students with quality research experiences at federal research facilities located across the country and allows students the opportunity to establish connections with DHS professionals. It is open to undergraduate and graduate students in a broad spectrum of HS-STEM disciplines and DHS mission-relevant Research Areas.

Undergraduate students receive a $6,000 stipend plus travel expenses. Graduate students receive a $7,000 stipend plus travel expenses.

Forensics Team

We are kicking off the Forensics Team this semester! Please send an email to to get involved. We will need your name, your preferred email, and your phone number (optional). Once you email us, we will send you a few items to get some information from you about your debate/speech interests, your availability for meeting times and your ability to go on trips this semester to various speech competitions.

We will be gearing up to compete in the State Championships in February, so we are planning on visiting a number of speech tournaments this semester to learn and get ready. We will probably be having meetings on Thursdays from 10 to 2 (somewhere in that time frame), but we are also having discipline meetings to practice specific skills and events.
