Exploratory programs provide you the opportunity to work with your academic advisor and the Career Resource Center to learn more about academic options related to certain programs. You may stay in the exploratory track until you have completed 24 credit hours toward your A.A. degree, at which time you will be required to select a more specific academic track.
The Exploring Health and Technical Programs track is for anyone interested in a career in the health care field or a technical program but unsure of the specific field or degree you are interested in. It’s also a good option if you are considering a Santa Fe College limited access program, but need to take some A.A. courses in order to be eligible to apply to or start in the program. Areas of study in the health and technical field include clinical lab sciences, medical technology, communication sciences and disorders, exercise and sports sciences, health sciences, nursing, nutritional sciences, pharmacy, zoo animal technology, respiratory care, health services administration and other related majors.
