Description:


Santa Fe College’s Nursing Program is seeking a qualified nurse for full-time faculty position in the Nursing Programs.  Opening includes primary maternal infant with a secondary medical surgical or other nursing discipline area with associated clinicals.  Interviews will tentatively occur March 2014, with a start date in August 2014.

Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Delivering instruction in didactic, lab and clinical settings.
  • Participating in planning, organizing and developing curriculum for the Nursing Program.
  • Supervising, evaluating, and mentoring students in the classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
  • Documenting student progress in clinical.
  • Proctoring exams for the department.
  • Participating in departmental and team meetings.
  • Teaching in summer A is expected (May/June) with additional compensation available.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  A  minimum of a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN), Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN), and a current active RN or ARNP state license is required, with active intent to obtain licensure in Florida.  Current clinical experience is required with relevant teaching experience preferred.  A criminal background check will be conducted.
