Benefits to joining the Santa Fe Incubator Program

Two locations to choose from —

CIED - Close to downtown and the University of Florida

Just a few blocks from the University of Florida, with plenty of free parking, a covered bicycle rack and close proximity to multiple bus routes, CIED entrepreneurs can quickly travel from one location to the other. This quick and easy access not only saves time, but also encourages meetings to be held at the CIED facility, which increases opportunities for collaboration between all parties.

GTEC - Technology and light manufacturing in East Gainesville

Less than two miles east of Downtown Gainesville on SE Hawthorne Road, GTEC also offers plenty of free parking, close proximity to multiple bus routes, and bicycle racks. GTEC entrepreneurs enjoy working in a purpose-built incubator, with both labs and offices, which have helped launch a number of large, successful companies.

Weekly Peer Group Meetings

A popular weekly meeting, facilitated at CIED by the Entrepreneur in Residence, for the leaders of both CIED and GTEC Incubating companies. This meeting provides a regular forum for entrepreneurs to celebrate successes and to solve problems. The format of the meeting creates an environment that is encouraging and collaborative, with just the right amount of accountability and motivation to keep things moving forward. Incubating entrepreneurs get feedback from one another, as well as from the team of professional consultants, which creates a powerful combination of local experience and expertise.

Professional Consulting Resources

The Incubator Program maintains relationships with a number of local professionals with a diverse background of expertise. As a team, these proven professionals are able to address virtually any question or concern that can be raised by an entrepreneur. What's more, each resource professional is personally interested in helping new companies get started and grow.

Collaborative Workspaces

Both CIED and GTEC offer a valuable mix of Gainesville locations, comfortable furnishings, high tech support equipment, professional staff and ample parking. Some incubating companies prefer the energetic and collaborative environment of the CIED shared co-working space, while others prefer the private and semi-private environment at GTEC.

Private Offices

For companies that need more privacy, we have a number of private office spaces.

Shared Facilities

Professional and comfortable lobby/reception area provides a relaxed environment conducive to conversation and collaboration. Conferencing facilities are equipped with modern technology that project a positive image and instill confidence in collaborators and employees.

High Speed Data and Modern Equipment

Both CIED and GTEC offer access to office equipment, including a new Ricoh MP C450X multi functional copier, printer, scanner, and fax machines, all accessible via a high speed network; use of audio visual equipment; computer lab; and break room equipped with microwave, refrigerator, and ice machine.
