3rd Attempt Petition for Developmental Education Students

3rd Attempt Petition for Developmental Education Students

Starting fall term 1997, Florida law requires that any college credit course that has been repeated and taken for the third time should be regarded as the final attempt.

  • Work attempted at other Florida public postsecondary institutions is not counted. Courses taken at private institutions or out-of-state institutions are not counted.
  • Courses attempted prior to fall term 1997 are not counted.
  • Attempts include the original grade, repeated grades, and withdrawals at any point in the semester.
  • All grades from the third and subsequent attempts are part of the GPA.
  • Students enrolled prior to fall 1997 may come under the old catalog.
